Granitos Lamecense Ltd was established in April 1999 and commenced its operations in June 2000. The driving force behind the company, Belarmino Fonseca, had early experience in the stone industry. In its initial stages, the company acquired stone cutting equipment, a bridge crane, transportation vehicles, and the facilities still in use today. During this phase, the company primarily focused on manufacturing granite slabs for distribution in both domestic and international markets.
